privacy please?

i've been thinking about making my blog private for a long time. sometimes i want to write stuff, or post pictures, but i dont because i dont want weirdies seeing it. BUT i don't read the private blogs of my friends as much because i have to log in, and it doesnt update on my feed ot whatever. (maybe saying "feed" is facebook talk) hmm. what to do
