planning a wedding/22

i was looking around at the married housing and it made me excited to live there with tyler and have our own appartment :) i've also actually started planning the wedding a little bit. it's kind of stressful. every night for like the past week, when i get in bed my mind starts racing about the current problems i have to solve. (if i choose this color dress for my brides maids, what color shoes will they wear? i forgot to call ________, or look into _______! i need to ask _______ tomorrow about _______. i have no idea how i want my makeup done. i need to start thinking about centerpeices... etc. etc) i still have like 6 months until we get married! i can't stress like this for 6 month!!!
i am kind of picky and i want things to be a certain way. i wish i wasnt so picky.

aaghh. 6 months is so far away, but 3 of those months i will be away at school so i want to get things done before i go.

recipe- choc cake batter cookies

21. recipe.

these cookies are so easy, you really dont even need a recipe. but they are my new favorites. there are a bajillion different ways to make them but this is how i do it.


Ingredients
•Chocolate Cake mix, 1 box
•Oil, 1/3 cup
•Egg, 2
•Semisweet chocolate chips, 2 cups

mix all the ingredients together. drop onto greased cookie sheet. cook at 350° F, until browned.

the hard thing is knowing how long to cook them. at school we cooked them for 9-10 minutes. at home i cook them for like 5-6 minutes. when you take them out they should look undercooked.

talent and hobby

19 & 20

i think it is a talent of mine to be able to sleep more than most people. i'm pretty good at it. really though, when someone says the word 'talent' you think of things like sports and singing and stuff like that. i dont really have those talents but i think my ability with kids is a talent. i was thinking about it a couple weeks ago and there are some people that would not be able to last one day working at a daycare. but i love it. ok well... there are some parts i dont love. but i love playing , talking, teaching, and just interacting with children. i went back to my work yesterday after being gone for 3 months and i was so happy to see my little friends :) some have them have grown SO much in just 3 months! there is nothing like walking into there and having the kids say "ms. courtney!!!!" and just be happy to see me. it makes my day.

hobby-- i used to love to sew and i would do it more often if i didnt have to set up and take down the sewing machine every time. AND if the sewing machines we had wouldnt keep getting messed up. ugh. anywaaay. i've also started to LOVE volleyball again. theres nothing like a GOOD game of volleyball.

remember this?? i am still determined to finish it! although 30 days is turning into 130. i am on 'day' 18 soi i get to write about whatever i want. sometimes i dont blog for so long because there is something important i need to write about, and i feel like i cant write anything else until i do that, but i just dont have time.

im at byu-idaho right now (with less than two weeks left in the term). i went home to visit for memorial day weekend. tyler purposed at alki beach with a gorgous diamond. (seriously, beautiful) i actually felt the ring box in his coat pocket before he asked me. it was funny.

we do not have a date yet. every day that goes by i get more and more excited though!

my toes are cold

at night im always freeeeeezing. i go to bed with like 5 blankets. then i wake up in the morning sweating like crazy. cuz the heater turns on at like 6. so at night i have 5 huge blankets on me and im still cold, in themorning i have none on me, and im still sweating. sometimes i have to open the window. i cant beleive i just wrote that much about this
im hungry

someone ate my soup, i cant find it.

i think i popped a blood capilary? i dove to do a pancake playing vball. joe jumped back and stomped/landed on my food. it kind of looks cool. i also have weird red lines. they are fading, but when it first happened it looked like they were bleeding.

im kind of excited for my volleyball theory class

i hope i can get into some better classes.

my shins hurt, i havent had shin splints this bad in a while

4- favorite book

i used to read so much, i love it. i read every night before bed. then i started reading the book of mormon every night, and i havent read another book for a while now. i figure its an ok trade tho. i like the teen-girl type books. i do not like twilight (i think its poorly written and the story isnt very exciting) i do not read nicholas sparks. i used to just go to the library teen section and check out a bunch of random ones that looked good. my favorite author is sarah dessen. a couple of my favorite books are:

3- fave tv show

buffy.

buffy the vampire slayer will always be my all-time favorite. last year i bought all 7 seasons and i watched a few episodes a night. when i was done i didnt know what to do with myself. if you've never watched it, or only watched an episode or two, i can understand how you would think it would be weird that i love it so much. but joss whedon (the writer) is so great. i love his sense of humor. and the show is deeper than just buffy fighting vampires and monsters.

i love movies that make me cry. whenever i need a good cry i put on dead poets society, broke down palace, or swing kids. newsies, the labyrinth, and empire records are my top 3 tho. do you notice something about all of these movies? the newest one was filmed when i was like 5 or something. also, most of them have good music, (other good movies include dirty dancing, rent, footloose...)

its so hard to pick a favorite song cuz there are so many good ones out there. mine and tylers song is probably my fave tho. i dont want to tell you what it is tho. its a secret. i dont want anyone else to know about it cuz its special to me and i dont want it to be you and your boyfriend's song. lol. does that make sense? i love it tho....
