this week

i'm done with my english class. thank goodness. that was maybe the hardest essay i've ever written. i hate research papers.

i got a ticket for speeding. apparently konrad was a witness to this. thanks for helping me out konrad. (like he could have done anything, really) people keep telling me to take it to court, but i dont think i will because honestly, i was speeding, alot. and my cop was really nice. and i hate dealing with the king county courts. they are ridiculous.

speaking of court.... two people at my work are going to judge judy. against each other. they were gonna go to small claims court next month but apparently the tv courts go thru a bunch of courts looking for interesting cases and ask people if they wanna be on the show. they fly for their tickets to LA and THEY PAY YOUR FEES (or whatever you call it) IF YOU LOSE. pft. i wish i actually knew what was going on then i could go doen and be a witness. but then i would get involved with the drama and i'd rather not have that happen. i'm kind of glad i am neutral and no one hates me. haha. i still love my job with all this going on. and i hope no one gets fired after all this

since i finished all the seasons on one tree hill, i'm starting to watch friday night lights. im watching on hulu tho so it'll go a lot slower. i just dont like sitting in front of the computer watching "tv"

my goodness i love my toddlers. i was in the pre-II class (4 year olds) all last week. lets just say... if ms krystle ever leave town again.... i might DIE. i love my toddlers, even when they are crazy

i dont have cancer.... the end

pete wentz

i have a new celebrity crush. pete wents. i dont even really like fall out boy. i just think he's cute. and i can't figure out why!!! he's short. i think it started when i saw him on the real world. then after that i was watching season 3 of one tree hill and he was on there. (not a great actor) he's just pretty cute ok!? not as cute as JT

5*5

well, facebook only let me tag 30 people... yes i was getting kind of carried away. so i'm putting this in here because i didnt tag any of you family/blog readers. this was actually fun to do

1} I automatically close my eyes when I turn the light off at night. even as i walk back to my bed. It doesn’t make any difference, but I can’t help it! It’s just a reaction

2} I used to have a stuffed koala bear (well, I still have it) that I named after my current crush. I changed his name often

3} I slept with stuffed animals up until a couple years ago. It’s nice to have something to cuddle with!

4} I used to actually be good at volleyball. A long long time ago. A few people I knew back then can witness to this. But my grades kept me off the school team a few times, and I was too lazy to practice. Curse my laziness.

5} ever since the first time I saw the movie Where the Heart is, I haven’t liked the number 5. i’m pretty sure most people that have seen that movie don’t even think about it. But I ALWAYS do when I see the number 5. for the longest time I didn’t even have anyone assigned to 5 on my speed dial.

6} I’m more superstitious than I admit. Although I’m not really sure if it’s superstition or a little but of OCD. Maybe a little bit of both.

7} when I was little I went through a phase where I wouldn’t sit on the toilet (even at home) because I was scared that I would pee so much that it would over flow on me!

8} at the same time, I was very afraid of the brakes going out on the car. Everytime we went down a hill I would hold onto the seat for dear life. Thank goodness these fears didn’t stick with me.

9} I love to read books or watch movies that make me cry. But only if I’m alone. It’s good to have a good cry every once in a while—and this way it’s not about something sad that happened in my life!

10} I love sweats. I wish I could wear them everywhere. I would love to just have a whole wardrobe of sweats. And not cute nike workout sweat suits. Just the plain old grungy sweats. Huge man sweats from wal mart are great.

11} I had an opportunity to get a drum set when I was like 15. my mom even said I could (shock!!) but I decided I would learn the guitar instead. I regret that SOOOO much. And now I feel like it’s too late. Everytime I go to a show I watch the drummer and am so jealous. It just looks like so much fun

12} when I eat hurshey kisses I grab a bunch and put them in my pockets so they get soft. They I will just eat one every once in a while. They are sooooo good soft. I also suck on m&ms to make them soft.

13} I get shin splints too much. When I used to play volleyball they would get so bad I couldn’t walk/stand. Now I get them at random times. Although I think I’ve figured out that i get them when I shake my leg, that triggers it. And every time I go shopping- without fail.

14} icy-hot patches are AMAZING. I could not live without them. I would never sleep if I didn’t put icy-hot patches on my shins at night

15} I’m anemic. When I found out, I researched the symptoms and a lot of things made sense then.

16} I take 7-9 pills a day. I know when I’m older I’m gonna have tons like my mom

17} I’ve never broken a bone. I made it 16 years without a trip to the hospital until the tampon incident.

18} when we were little, Kendra, Tristan and I caught garter snakes. Then we made little homes for them in shoe boxes. The homes included grass, dirt, rocks, leaves, and sand. Then we would trap the snake in the box with plastic wrap until they turned blue…. Then we let them go. Now that I think about it, Tristan wasn’t into the whole habitat making as much as Kendra and I, he just liked catching the snakes. Lol. This all ended when Kendra got bit by one of the snakes.

19} almost all of my childhood memories include Kendra. I’m glad we are still friends

20} I hardly ever get mad. I can pretty much count the fights/arguments I’ve been in with friends on one hand—going back to 6th grade. I do get annoyed sometimes, everyone does. But I guess I don’t usually show it when I am annoyed and I get over things pretty quickly.

21} I love Washington state. It’s so pretty here! And I actually like rain. We have mountains, a coast, a desert, and a rain forest all in one state!!

22} there is nothing to me, like hearing a song and listening to the words, and realizing that it is exactly what I am going through at the time. music is just amazing.

23} I don’t really like pop. I can barely drink a full can and if I do, it makes my stomach hurt. I’d rather have juice.

24} There are a few people who have greatly influenced my life, and don’t even know it. But I will never forget them

25} being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (mormon) is the most important thing to me. I would never deny it ever, and I would be a completely different person without it.

lost tapes

im watching Lost Tapes. a new show on animal planet. its supposed to be like home videos of strange, unexplaned creatures (skinwalkers, mothman, cave demons) i was dissapointed to realize that these tapes are reenactments. as far as i saw, on the tv and online, it doesnt claim anywhere that these videos are real, but it also doesnt say that they are fake either(unless i missed that) i am actually pretty pleased with the acting though, its better than alot of these stupid reenactments. and im pretty sure they could trick plenty of people into thinking they are real.

i went snowboarding. my hip/butt hurts from landing on jesse's board. it HURTS and i have a bruise like 3 inches long / wide.

i have shin splints. i hate shin splints.

welp... back to my essay. almost done (i think)

oh-- at the end it said The story was inspired by the posibilty that they could exist. to me that sounds like a pretty clever way of saying its a fiction story. the people that made this show are so smart

a short, white girl named Pizza hut

as you read the following conversation i had with my friend "R" keep in mind that he is 4 years old and "colored"

R: do you have a girlfriend?
me: no, i do not have a BOYfriend
R: why not?
me: uh... i dunno. do you have a girlfriend?
R: no i dont want one
me: why n..
R: I NEED ONE!!
me: oooooook.. should we find you one?
R: yeah, she has to be white
me: (trying to hide my laugh) she has to be white?
R: somethingsomething colored
me: what?
R: and "this" (holding hand up) not big (he was holding his hands to compare sizes, trying to tell meshe has to be a kid like him, not a grown up like me)
me: ooh oook w....
R: soemthingsomethingslurred
me: what?
R: her name somethingsoemthing
me: ......what...?
R: PIZZA HUT!
me: her name is pizza hut?
R: yes!
J coming from nowhere: we're having a pizza party
me: (finding it almost impossible not to laugh) so your girlfriend needs to be this short, white, and named Pizza hut?
R: yes!

i wish i could remember everything he said and type HOW he said it. it was so hard for me not to laugh. i had to cover my face with a book a few times so i could. i told his mom this story and i've never seen her laugh that hard.

also~ i love how to kids, their skin color isnt a big deal, it's just a fact. if it had been someone older that said they needed a white girlfriend, thats racist. but to a 4 year old, who knows. maybe he just find it interesting because all his family at home had dark skin. the young kids are usually aware that there is a difference in the skin colors of them and some of their friends, but that's all it is. like the difference in a red shirt and a blue shirt. i love it. i wish thats how everyone was

dear diary, today i saw a boooooy

i have been feeling the need to write a blog about something other than work and gross health issues..... but what???

my poor hamster died on sunday. she had a disease that they call "wet tail" i would love to tell you why they call it that, but i decided this blog would NOT be about gross health issues. (look it up tho) she was sick and dying all weekend. it was soooo sad. her case was "severe" too. oh it makes me so sad to think about. but we had a little funeral (ok well... we burried her) over by were we burried my last cat. poor buffy.

or maybe.....

maybe i have scabies under my mole.... hahahahaha

oh jk

644am

i've been up for like an hourand i dont even have to or usually even wak up for another 5 hours. i always wake up tons through out the night and i woke up this time, and was feeling my mole on my back... i noticed it a few days ago, i was like "hm i dont remember it being that big" but i didnt really think about it. and then last night it kind of started hurting. kind of like a big pimple, lol. so thats what i thought, that there was like a big pimple under it (gross!) then when i woke up an hour ago i was like AH! what if its cancer! sooo i've been thinking about that the past hour. i had to get up and look online and here is what the wonderful world wide web says

Raised from skin- yes (hadnt even thought of that
multiple colors or shades- i cant really tell, it's kind of difficult to see
has changed in size or appearance- yess
irregular borders- i dont think so
Intermittent bleeding- ew no
change in sensory- yes

im thinking answering yes to 3 of these is enough to go see a doctor. oh, and it my dad had a mole removed like a year ago so it's more likely. part of me is thinking that is IS just a huge zit under there (again... gross!) if it is, i'll probably be embarassed and delete this blog. haha. but, we'll see.......

~~2 blogs about moles in how long??? and i still dont like the word mole

~~in doing my research online i looked at a post on yahoo in which someone asked "How can you tell if your mole is cancerous?" someone else answered, "take it to the vet." i didnt get it at first, then remembered there is an animal called a mole too. then i thought it was funny.

back to bed. i dont have class today and 7am is the middle of the night for me

you're welcome for the pictures

i know i know.... all i ever write about is work, BUT AT LEAST IM WRITING!!

we've had our 2nd case of scabies at work. and this time the child is in my class. i feel bad for her mom, she came in crying and is very stressed. so am i..... we had to soak EVERYTHING in our room with bleach. (now my new apron does not look so new any more.... gotta love those bleach spots) and we are checking our kids pretty much everyday. there are a few kids who have little bumps but... i think one is a diaper rash, and the other is sensitive from his diapers. its hard to tell. soooo we just look at them every day and try to see if they are getting worse. im itching as i type. every little bump i get, i'm like "omg! i have scabies!"

i know many of you do not really know what scabies is. i didnt either. i had to research it cuz all the parents were asking me questions. let me fill you in.

**caused by very small wingless insects or mites
**the female insect burrows into the skin where she lays 1 - 3 eggs daily. A very small, hard to see, zigzag blister usually marks the trail of the insect as she lays her eggs.
**intense itching (especially at night) and a red rash can occur at the area that has been scratched. The most common locations for scabies are on the sides of fingers, between the fingers, on the backs of the hands, on the wrists, heels, elbows, armpits, inner thighs and around the waist.
**The mites themselves are too small to be seen without magnification. One of the great problems with scabies always has been misdiagnosis.
**Scabies is spread by personal contact---shaking hands or sleeping together or by close contact with infected articles such as clothing, bedding or towels.
**incubation period is about 4 weeks.... meaning i'll notice in about 3 1/2 weeks if i have scabies. AND some of my children may still have it too. grrreat
